Corrigan Breathnach curated the, Bbeyond in collaboration with Ulster University event, (CO.AN) KOAN, which included a live performance by Alastair MacLennan, a lecture by André Stitt and an exhibition / installation in which she chose objects from both MacLennan’s life and practice to reflect the core of his practice. BEYOND THE ARCHIVE | 2022

Corrigan Breathnach worked in tandem with Dundee University and Generator projects on the, Beyond the Archive, Alastair MacLennan project, which gave an opportunity for two artists to interact and respond to the archive of Alastair MacLennan held at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, Dundee University, which culminated in two live performances held at the McManus Gallery Dundee and one offsite performance. PHREMIXELANNME | 2022

In 2022 Sandra Corrigan Breathnach initiated and organised Phremixelannme, a Bbeyond performance/poetry event held at the CCA (The Centre for Contemporary Art) Derry, which included the participation of 16 invited artists to celebrate the 80th Birthday of artist James King.

She chose to name this event Phremixelannme, taking the name from one of Kings poems regarding freedom. (To widen accessibility this event was live streamed) | 2022

BEYOND TIME | 2021

In 2021 Corrigan Breathnach co-organised the Bbeyond 20th Anniversary events at the MAC, Belfast, with Brian Patterson and Alastair MacLennan. These Anniversary events included the publication launch of ‘Actional Poetics – Ash She He – The performance actuations of Alastair MacLennan 1972- 2020’ edited by Sandra Johnston, Chérie Driver and Paula Blair, hosted by Dr. Chérie Driver and Brian Patterson. Live solo performances at The MAC – Belfast, a collaborative workshop by Alastair MacLennan & James King, together with an international conference which Corrigan Breathnach hosted. The opening was held in Ulster University with a discussion on the emergence of Bbeyond managed and hosted by Chérie Driver. The events closed with a group performance in St. Anne’s Square – Belfast | 2021

CONNECTED | 2021

Corrigan Breathnach initiated a project titled Connected, which involved the creation of a physical work being sent to an artist to create a work inspired from the said work, which in turn was sent on to another artist, creating a series of connected works. SOMATIC DISTORTION | 2019

In 2019 Sandra Corrigan Breathnach initiated and Curated the Performance Art event Somatic Distortion, which she organised in conjunction with Sean O’Reilly (The Leitrim Sculpture Centre) and Brendan Murray (The Glens Arts Centre), Manorhamilton.

The event encompassed, a Keynote Speech by Fergus Byrne, Artist talks, Photographic, Live works and Video works from Internationally renowned artists, Bruce Nauman, Meredith Monk, Stuart Brisley, Alastair MacLennan, André Stitt, Kim Gurney and Nigel Rolfe.

TRACES | 2019

As Lead Artist for six months on the Creative Ireland, Performing North Leitrim project, with the Leitrim Sculpture Centre and The Glens Centre Manorhamilton, Corrigan Breathnach developed the project Traces. As part of this project she curated and led the Performance Installation Traces on Culture Night in the Leitrim Sculpture Centre and went on to create a large willow installation which was set alight as part of the performance she created as the finale of the Samhain parade. This project involved holding performance and print workshops, creating site specific sound installations throughout the town and working closely with and involving local Artists and members of the Manorhamilton Community. The residency project was funded by the Performing North Creative Counties (Creative Ireland Project) | 2019
