Materials | White cotton robe tied with a natural fibre rope – Small sheets of white cotton – White Quartz (From Ireland) – Large silver bowl – Salt – bamboo driftwood – Glass vessel/jar.

Description |

Twentyfour sought to honour the memory of the many lives taken by the devastating 2011 disaster. This piece focused on 24 of those lives, who had tragically been lost in one area of Fukushima, which I visited prior, through tying 24 pieces of white cotton onto bamboo driftwood. A connection and exchange was made with the sea, together with an offering of salt and a circle of protection. The combined energy of the Japanese water with Irish quartz was then offered to attendees with a caring touch.
